Leicester’s population has grown
greatly since 1300, when there were 3000 people living in the city. In 1792
there were 14675 people living in the city.
This
graph shows this information. So far it only goes up to 1792, we aim to extend
it soon.

At
the moment, the dip between 1500 and 1558 is unaccounted for. It could be due to
a plague or other disaster.
As
you can see. The population increases greatly in the 18th century.
This is because of the start of the industrial revolution. We estimate that the
sharp increase would continue for another 100 years.
